Sena for 10/3/15: Against God's Face 

These passages both tell of Jerusalem and its sins.

A Useless Branch:

The parable of the useless branch says that a branch from a tree in the forest is not useful for anything, and is even less useful after it has been burnt and charred. In context, this parable represents how the city of Jerusalem is useless like the tree branch because of the city's    sins. It also gives us another meaning. Without Jesus, we are like the branch. We cannot be used for anything.

Consuming Fire:

This passage basically says that God will burn Israel. He intends to destroy Israel because of its sinful behaviors. He uses our suffering to   get attention from us, and get us to listen. That is all.
