Covenant Faithfulness

summary

God makes promise to His people that he will lead them to peacefulness and righteousness and justice. He will say to those who are called "not His people" that they are now "Hispeople", and they will say "You are my God". 

analysis

God proposes to the Israelites that they will once again be led back to faithfulness and given agricultural abundance, which is accomplished through the crucifixion of His one and only Son Jesus Christ. This passage emphasizes how much God loves us to sacrifice his one and only Son for useless sinners like us. Under God we are loved and become useful.
